Voter Registration | Smooth start to voter registration weekend in EC

The first day of the voter registration weekend has wrapped up in the Eastern Cape with the IEC reporting that the process proceeded smoothly.

To improve access, the number of voting stations in the province has been increased from 4,809 in 2021 to 4,984 this year, while special arrangements have been put in place to ensure residents in flood-affected communities are not left behind.
