India prepares to host 18th BRICS summit

India is gearing up to host its biggest diplomatic showpiece of the year; the 18th BRICS Summit, even as the US-Iran conflict threatens consensus.

Leaders of the world's most influential emerging economies that include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa among others, are set to arrive in New Delhi next month.

But questions remain over whether the bloc can keep its focus on its economic agenda, or if divisions over the war in the Middle East will overshadow talks?
