Check The Kitchen: Ahmedabad pushes CCTV transparency in restaurants

Decode With Sudhir Chaudhary: Restaurant customers may soon be able to see how hygienically their food is being prepared. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has advised more than 11,000 restaurants and food businesses to install CCTV cameras inside their kitchens. The live feed can be displayed near the reception or dining area so customers can see the kitchen’s cleanliness and hygiene for themselves. The measure is currently voluntary and not legally mandatory. Could this become a new standard for transparency and trust in restaurants across India?

Decode With Sudhir Chaudhary: अब Restaurant का Kitchen भी ग्राहकों की नजर से छिपा नहीं रहेगा। अहमदाबाद नगर निगम ने शहर के 11 हजार से ज्यादा Restaurants और Food Businesses को Kitchen में CCTV कैमरे लगाने की सलाह दी है। Camera की Live Feed Reception या ऐसी जगह दिखाने का सुझाव है, जहां ग्राहक आसानी से Kitchen की साफ-सफाई और Hygiene देख सकें। हालांकि, इसे फिलहाल अनिवार्य नहीं किया गया है और Restaurants इसे स्वेच्छा से अपना सकते हैं। हमारी Check The Kitchen मुहिम के बाद उठाया गया ये कदम Food Safety और Customer Trust की दिशा में बड़ा बदलाव ला सकता है।
