Gagash court case

The Polokwane Magistrate's Court has heard that lawyer Charlotte Tibana allegedly told an investigating officer that she would take her own life if released on bail.

Tibana and her husband, Tshwane Metro Police Department officer and social media personality, Peter Nonyane known as Gagash, are facing charges of fraud and money laundering. The couple is accused of defrauding three deceased estate accounts of more than four-million-rand.

The investigation officer, Constable Phuthisho Thobejane is arguing against the bail application by the couple. Thobejane says Tibana allegedly used some of the money to purchase two vehicles, which were later registered in the name of her sister, Rirhandzu Tibane. Thobejane testified that Tibana could interfere with police investigations if released on bail...
