Merz links wildfire to climate change

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visited the wildfire-hit Hürtgenwald region on Saturday. He directly linked the wildfire to climate change and said Germany must prepare for more such events and said preparation for such calamities was "a responsibility of the federal government, the states, and the municipalities."
