ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has given his party's prospective mayors and councillors 100 days to change the face of their wards and municipalities.
This is contained in the 65-page ANC 2026 Local Government Election manifesto he unveiled at Riversand Park, Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg, on Sunday.
Ramaphosa also said that the party's manifesto includes a tracking mechanism through which councillors and councils will account for implementation.
To further examine the ANC's Local Government Election's manifesto, we are joined by political analyst and Professor of Politics at the Institute for Global Dialogue at the University of Johannesburg, Professor Siphamandla Zondi.
