VMMC और Safdarjung Hospital के Central Institute of Orthopaedics में पहली Robot-Assisted Total Knee Replacement Surgery सफलतापूर्वक की गई। 22 अगस्त को हुई यह सर्जरी 75 वर्षीय मरीज की थी और Ayushman Bharat योजना के तहत पूरी तरह निःशुल्क की गई। अस्पताल के अनुसार, नई Robotic Technology से सर्जरी की बेहतर योजना और Implant Positioning में अधिक सटीकता संभव है।
