Steve Biko Hospital | Urgent infrastructural repairs carried out

The Gauteng Department of Health says its yearly budget allocation is not enough when measured against population growth and demand for services.

Plans to address that shortfall, however, rest with the Premier.

This, as the department undertook urgent electrical infrastructure repairs at Steve Biko Academic Hospital this Saturday.

It had to temporarily interrupt electricity supply to obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatal and paediatric units. Six theatres, wards and critical care units were also affected.
