Russia’s barbaric daytime strike on Ukraine shopping mall | Ukraine Brief

Russian forces struck a shopping center in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Zelenskyy, on Friday afternoon. At least five people have been confirmed killed and 91 others wounded, including 6 children.

Kyiv, meanwhile, has once again struck deep into Russia, with an oil refinery located some 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border coming under fire overnight into Friday.

This comes as Ukraine seeks permission to use Starlink-equipped drones to strike Russian ballistic missile launchers up to 200 kilometers inside Russia. According to the Financial Times, President Zelenskyy raised the proposal during a meeting with Donald Trump in July, hoping the U.S. President could secure Elon Musk’s approval.
