Cleanliness in the railway sector is a major example of governance reform. There was a time when filth and human waste on railway tracks used to be a big problem. Today, the situation has completely changed. Before 2014, our trains had roughly 12,000 bio-toilets installed. On the other hand, since 2014, over 3,60,000 bio-toilets have been installed in trains. That means more than 97% of bio-toilets have been installed in the last 10 years.
