Refinery disruptions, damaged logistics, fuel shortages, and long lines at gas stations are forcing Moscow to take increasingly desperate measures – including importing gasoline and allowing lower-quality Euro-2 and Euro-3 fuel to be produced. Meanwhile, officials have found an even simpler explanation for the chaos: holidaymakers. As gas stations across Krasnodar and other southern regions face kilometers-long queues and shortages, local authorities are blaming drivers for... coming home from vacation.
