Chippa Mpengesi Foundation visits home of six‑year‑old caregiver in Mandela Park

Chippa Mpengesi Foundation will visit the home of the six-year-old boy in Mandela Park, Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape. The child was found taking care of her grandmother, mentally ill mother, and two-year-old sibling.
This follows a story that was broadcast by SABC News on the plight of the family.
The living conditions of the family are deplorable. The task on the shoulders of the 6-year-old is also deemed not fit for a child, as he has to do the household chores as well.
The foundation will assess the situation and is looking into assisting the family.
