Edwin Tong on handling of drug, vape offences at RTS Link borders

Travellers caught with drugs or vapes at the RTS Bukit Chagar station in Johor Bahru will be subject to Malaysian law, while offences detected during Singapore’s checks will be handled under Singapore law, said Law Minister Edwin Tong in parliament on Tuesday (May 5), where he tabled the Cross-Border Railways (Border Control Co-Location) Bill.

He also said that Singapore will continue its zero-tolerance approach to drug offences and focus on preventing these illicit items from entering the country via the RTS Link. #singapore #sgnews
