The Hype – Simple task, tough training for humanoid robots

At the World Humanoid Robot Games, training a humanoid robot to perform a specific task with a high success rate can take three to four weeks, while a six-year-old child might learn the same task in just half an hour. Gao Yang, co-founder and chief scientist of Spirit AI, explains why the training gap remains so large today and how rapidly it could shrink.
