Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand storm into the semi-finals of the 2026 BWF World Championships, defeating fourth seeds Jia Yi Fan and Zhang Shu Xian of China 16-21, 21-15, 21-13.

The victory assures India of at least a bronze medal, making Treesa-Gayatri only the second Indian women’s doubles pair to win a World Championships medal after Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa.
