Crackdown on illegal weight loss injectable products

South African Health Products Regulatory Authority and the South African Pharmacy Council have clamped down on a company in Pretoria manufacturing and distributing illegal injectable products.

The facility was found to be manufacturing and marketing GIP and GLP-1-based products, including semaglutide, tirzepatide, and combination formulations, for broader commercial distribution, particularly for weight management purposes.
