4 workers killed by express train in Japan

Four track workers were killed after being struck by an express train at Shin-Kanuma Station in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo, on Thursday (Aug 20).

The Spacia X express, operated by Tobu Railway, was carrying around 50 passengers from Tobu Nikko station to Tokyo when the accident occurred. A passenger told Japan's national broadcaster NHK that there was an unusual sound before the train made an emergency stop. No train passengers were injured. #japan #japannews
