A wave of overnight Russian missile strikes have killed at least 12 people in and around Ukraine's capital of Kyiv.

Apartment blocks, warehouses and a children's hospital were hit in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, Romania said one drone crossed into its territory at the northern border with Ukraine triggering an air alert siren.
