Govt pledges summer support package for farmers

Agriculture Minister Willie Aucamp says government is more than prepared to provide the necessary support to farmers as the country braces for a potentially harsh summer.

Aucamp addressed more than one hundred farmers at the Agri Limpopo Congress 2026 in Modimolle.

The meeting comes as South Africa prepares for high temperatures associated with a "Super El Niño", which is expected to affect the country between October 2026 and March 2027.
