At 15,200 feet, Army medical teams at Bum La provide vital support to tourists facing high-altitude challenges, including Acute Mountain Sickness. Headaches, dizziness, weakness and gastrointestinal symptoms can occur at such elevations, while low oxygen pressure can make breathing difficult.

With medication and oxygen support available, Army medical officers remain prepared to assist visitors despite extreme cold and demanding conditions.
