Sri Lanka mass graves : 582 skeletons have been discovered in final phase

Excavations at a mass grave in Chemmani, northern Sri Lanka, are nearing completion, with 582 skeletons uncovered, including babies and young children, and more than 160 personal items such as a schoolbag and a child’s toy.

The site is linked to allegations that the military killed and buried Tamil civilians during the civil war, with investigations delayed for three decades.
