National Coloured Congress leader and Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams is scheduled to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry this morning. Adams is at the centre IDAC's troubles at the probe as his Section 27 referral allegedly led to a litany of illegalities in IDAC's probe, allegedly with the hopes of targeting high-ranking individuals, Lt-General Dumisani Khumalo and top cop General Fannie Masemola.
Yesterday, Madlanga Commission evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson presented messages from the WhatsApp chats of the late taxi boss Jothan "Mswazi" Msibi, showing how alleged runner, Sgt Fannie Nkosi, in his capacity as a SAPS officer, was allegedly used by Msibi and his associates to unlawfully acquire mobile interception devices, known as "grabbers", with the hopes of selling them to Eswatini. To discuss what to expect in today's testimony and recap yesterday's proceedings, we are joined by Founder & Chairperson, Public Interest SA Tebogo Khaas and a lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Pretoria, Roland Henwood.
