Trump pushes Middle East nations to sign Abraham Accords recognising Israel

US President Donald Trump is now making normalisation ties with Israel a priority in US-Iran peace. But widening sign-ups of the Abraham Accords — a set of US-brokered agreements launched during Mr Trump's first term in 2020 — could prove difficult. The Abraham Accords aim to establish ties between Israel and Arab- and Muslim-majority countries. Mr Trump is now putting fresh pressure on regional powers to join the accords. His top priority would be Saudi Arabia, given its political and religious influence across the Arab and Islamic worlds.
