AFASA wants FS cattle deaths declared a disaster

Farmers' advocacy group, AFASA is calling for the recent cattle deaths in the Free State to be declared a disaster.

More than five hundred head of cattle reportedly died during last week's inclement weather that included heavy rains and snowfall.

Areas such as Heilbron, Koppies and Deneysville under the Fezile Dabi district municipality have been severely affected.
