Witness Protection Agency Director summoned over delayed action on Mathare disappearance case

The High Court at Milimani Nairobi, has summoned the Director of the Witness Protection Agency to appear in court on Tuesday, August 18 2026, over delays in acting on a request to protect key witnesses in the disappearance of three men from Mathare. Justice Alexander Muteti issued the summons during a habeas corpus hearing concerning Macmillan Kiarie Mugo, Michael Oloo and Evans Otieno, who have been missing for about two months.
