At least 1 killed in South Korea after flooding, landslides hit southern region

At least one person was killed in a landslide in South Korea's Gyeongsang province as as heavy rainfall battered the country's southern region, media reports said on Monday (Aug 17). Some areas were hit by flooding and recorded up to 800mm of rain. In Geoje, a southern coastal city near Busan, rivers overflowed and roads were inundated, disrupting traffic and leaving residents stranded. #southkoreanews #southkorea
