LGE 2026 | Afrika Unite Congress backs SACP ahead of elections

The President of the Afrika Unite Congress, Lizwi Ncwane has called on voters to support the South African Communist Party in the upcoming local government elections.

Ncwane who founded the Afrika Unite Congress Party in 2023 gave a message of support to the communists at their 105th anniversary as well their manifesto launch earlier on Sunday.

The event took place in Soshanguve, Pretoria at the Tshwane University of Technology.

The SACP will not be backing its alliance partner,the ANC at the polls but will be contesting the elections independently.
