ASEAN Hyundai Cup: Singapore fall 3-1 to Thailand in semi-final first leg

Thailand beat Singapore 3-1 in the first leg of the ASEAN Championship semi-finals at Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday (Aug 15). Teerasak Poeiphimai scored twice for Thailand before Seksan Ratree added a third after half-time. Singapore's Shawal Anuar had a penalty saved, while substitute Ilhan Fandi pulled one back with a late strike from outside the box.

The result extended Thailand's winning streak against Singapore to 11 matches. The two teams will meet each other again on Aug 18 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok for the second leg. #sgnews #singapore
