MP Christopher de Souza suggests alternative sites close to Maju Forest for housing needs instead

In response to MP Christopher de Souza's question in parliament on Tuesday (Aug 4) about alternative housing sites near Maju Forest, Minister of State for National Development Alvin Tan said the government had assessed those sites, but many are already supporting major infrastructure projects or have been earmarked for future development.

He said brownfield, vacant and underused land is prioritised where possible, and invited the public to continue sharing feedback before plans for Gillman Barracks and Sunset Way are finalised. #singapore #sgnews
