Crime in Westbury | Residents gripped with fear

The community of Westbury in Johannesburg is calling for permanent safety and security intervention as they grapple with continuing crime, including alleged gang-related violence resulting in fatal shootings.

Later on Tuesday morning, the community will converge at the Mabaleng Open Grounds in Westbury before taking to the streets against spiralling crime and gangsterism.

They are calling for an end to violence, drug wars and a stronger police response.
