कैबिनेट ने PM Surya Sarovar Yojana को दी मंजूरी

#WATCH | Addressing the Cabinet briefing, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Union Cabinet has approved the PM Surya Sarovar Yojana to harness floating solar power on water bodies such as dams, lakes, canals, and industrial ponds.

The five-year scheme aims to create 5,000 MW of floating solar capacity with two-hour energy storage, reducing land requirements, preventing water evaporation, cutting around 10 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions, and generating 16,000–17,000 full-time jobs. He also announced the extension of the PM-KISAN scheme.
