#Poland investigates #fake car registrations in #Italy

Poland has launched an investigation into thousands of vehicles in southern Italy operating under fraudulent Polish registrations. Authorities say more than 42,000 cars in the Naples area are using Polish lisence plates to avoid higher local insurance and tax costs. Warsaw is now preparing new regulations for 2026 aimed at closing the loophole and protecting Polish drivers from rising insurance premiums.
