Top tennis players demand shorter tour schedule

World number one, Italian Jannik Sinner, and 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic, are the two biggest names to pull out of the Canadian Open in Montreal, this week.

According to reigning French Open champion, and world number three, Alexander Zverev, the high-profile withdrawals are due to the expanded two-week Masters 1000 format, and player burn-out.
