Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and co-accused back in court

Alleged underworld kingpin Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four co-accused return to the Johannesburg High Court today as their trial continues.

They face charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to kill Tebogo Thobejane, Joe Sibanyoni and Seunkie Mokubung.

The court is hearing a trial within a trial after accused Musa Kekana challenged evidence from his 2024 arrest, alleging assault and torture by police.
