The school calendar mid-term breaks are set to be harmonized starting next year, in a policy shift as the Ministry of Education moves to diffuse a rising wave of student unrest across the country. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba says he will set up a multi-sectoral team to investigate the root cause of the chaos and find lasting solutions to the recurring problem. This comes as the ministry maintained this term’s mid-term break will proceed as scheduled from June 24th to 28th. Joseph Wakhungu with the details.
