Police officer, civilian dead after shooting in Montreal, police say

Montreal police say three people are dead after a shooting in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood: a police officer, a civilian and a suspect.

An emergency alert had been issued saying a person in the area was armed and dangerous. Montreal police are still urging residents in Côte-des-Neiges to stay indoors, lock their doors and avoid the area around De Courtrai and Trans Island avenues.
