US strikes Iran after Apache helicopter attack in the Strait of Hormuz

The United States has hit targets in Iran after President Donald Trump said Tehran had shot down a US Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US military said it targeted Iranian air defences, command sites and radar systems near the strategic waterway.
