Forensic backlog anguish in Limpopo

Families across the Limpopo province are facing added pain in the wake of losing loved ones, as post-mortems are delayed due to severe shortages of doctors and mounting backlogs.

Families already burdened by loss are forced to wait weeks, sometimes months, before they can lay their loved ones to rest.

These challenges not only prolong closure for grieving families but also raise critical questions about the capacity of the health system to respond with dignity and efficiency.
