Some voting stations in the OR Tambo Region in the Eastern Cape have been forced to close due to protests.

In Mthatha, residents claim the candidate nomination process was unfair and have chosen not to take part in the registration campaign.

Meanwhile, in Qumbu, community members say their frustration with service delivery has led to disruptions.
