LGE 2026 | Final voter registration: Ulrich Hendriks reports from Upington

As we head towards 5 o' clock, when voting stations close for the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)'s Final Voter Registration weekend, KwaZulu-Natal voters are leading the nation with the largest number of registrations at 55000, followed by the Eastern Cape with 46000, and Gauteng is in third with 41000 voters.
