#WATCH | E20 is not designed to make petrol cheaper, but to protect India from global crude oil price shocks. With 20% ethanol blending, India has replaced 31 million tonnes of crude oil imports and saved over ₹1.90 lakh crore in foreign exchange.

While petrol prices rose by 20–40% in many countries between 2022 and 2026, India saw an increase of only around 5.6%.

E20 is about energy security, self-reliance, and protection from global fuel price shocks.
