CJ Koome opened an Alternative Dispute System Court in Bomet

Chief justice Marthe Koome has urged Kenyans to embrace alternative dispute resolution(ADR) to back the Judiciary’s efforts in reducing case backlogs in court. Speaking in Bomet County where she opened an alternative justice system court, Koome said a number of pending cases involving land and inheritance could be handled through the court. The CJ was however quick to point out that the ADR system would keep off any criminal matters such as rape and defilement.
