Another very important project was approved today in Bihar — the Khagaria-Purnea section. If we look at the map, when we travel from Patna, this route falls on the way to the entire Seemanchal region. A large number of highways have been built in this entire region over the last ten years, and road connectivity has been completely transformed. To further improve this transforming road connectivity and to meet the expectations of the people — the expectations of ordinary citizens and the aspirations of the middle class — the Khagaria–Purnea section has been taken up today. This section has a length of 144 kilometres and will involve an investment of ₹3,936 crore. It will be upgraded to a four-lane highway and developed as a proper access-controlled high-speed road corridor.
