An ABC investigation has found reps for a global hair and skincare company are making exaggerated claims to recruit women in Australia.

MONAT, which uses network marketing to sell its products, has already come under fire from the industry watchdog in the US for misleading earnings claims, which included social media posts from Australian sellers.

Experts say some of the sales practices could be breaching Australian consumer law.
