AI Draft Policy withdrawn

Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Solly Malatsi has withdrawn the Draft National Artificial Intelligence Policy.

The draft policy was recently published for public comment, and its authenticity faced scrutiny after it was suspected that it contains various fictitious sources in its reference list.

The aim of the policy included guidance on responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and the protection of users' rights.
