The Minister of Justice and the National Prosecuting Authority has announced a drastic intervention to its corruption-fighting wing, the Investigative Directorate Against Corruption. The country is still in the dark about who will succeed Andrea Johnson to fix IDAC, who has had to fall on her sword following revelations of abuse of authority and governance failures.

This also follows the Nkabinde Inquiry's dismissal of Shamila Batohi's allegations of misconduct against South Gauteng's NDP Adv. Andrew Chauke, where Batohi's professionalism was also put to question.
