*Residents of KwaThema, east of Johannesburg, marched to Springs yesterday, demanding tougher action against undocumented immigrants. They're also accusing some police officers of failing to act against illegal activities in their communities.

*The defamation case against Kenny Kunene over comments alleging EFF leader Julius Malema made visits to the late taxi boss Jotham Zanemvula Msibi - popularly known as 'Mswazi' - who is alleged to be a member of the big 5 cartel will be heard at the High Court in Johannesburg today.

*The director-general of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says Uganda should reconsider its decision to close its border with Democratic Republic of Congo because of an Ebola outbreak.
