Mettler Suspension | High Court to hand down judgment on Friday

The High Court in Pretoria has reserved judgment until Friday, in the Democratic Alliance's urgent bid to overturn controversial City of Tshwane council resolutions.

The DA is challenging the suspension of City Manager, Johann Mettler, and the reinstatement of Chief Financial Officer, Gareth Mnisi.

The party says the council meeting that made these decisions was unlawful.

It also claims that the Speaker improperly discounted the votes of 13 DA councillors before adopting the resolutions.
