संसद के मानसून सत्र में आज जन्म और मृत्यु पंजीकरण (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2026 को लेकर चर्चा होने की संभावना है। प्रस्तावित बदलावों में देरी से होने वाले जन्म और मृत्यु पंजीकरण की प्रक्रिया को अधिक सख्त बनाने का प्रावधान शामिल है। सरकार का कहना है कि जन्म प्रमाण पत्र व्यक्ति की कानूनी पहचान का महत्वपूर्ण दस्तावेज है और समय पर पंजीकरण व्यवस्था को मजबूत करना जरूरी है।
