Qatar recommits to DRC peace after Botswana talks

Qatar has reaffirmed its commitment to peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo following high-level talks in Botswana between the Congolese government and M23 rebels.

The pledge comes despite renewed fighting that continues to undermine multiple peace initiatives.

The ongoing conflict has also hampered efforts to contain a fast-spreading Ebola outbreak in parts of the DRC.
